Graduates of 2004
The New Brunswick Youth Apprenticeship Program continues to grow in School District 6 and School District 8. On August 17th, 2004, local high school students (listed below) received their New Brunswick Youth Apprenticeship diploma upon completion of 2 summers of paid work experience and participation in over 100 hours of professional employability skills development workshops. We applaud the commitment of these students as they prepare themselves for the demands of their future careers or work, and to our employer partners for providing them with invaluable work experience.
In June, 2004, approximately ninety-five "new" Youth Apprenticeship students enjoyed their first YAP Employability Skills Camp before embarking on their summer of paid work experience. These high school students will attend additional Youth Apprenticeship workshops throughout the school year and will participate in a second paid work term in the summer of 2005, prior to YAP graduation in August, 2005. We will keep you posted on the Youth Apprenticeship Program and the possibilities for another group of high school students who may wish to apply for the 2005-2006 program.
