January - April, 2009
- Recruitment of Employers as partners with the New Brunswick Youth Career Connections Program
- March 30 - April 3, 2009 - In School Presentation for students: "Why You Should Consider the Youth Career Connections Program"
- April 9, 2009 - students submit application to guidance office indicating each position of interest, deadline 12:00 noon. An application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
- April 21, 2009 - In the Greater Saint John area, Introductory Workshop for students who submitted an application
- April 22, 2009 - In the Hampton area, Introductory Workshop for students who submitted an application
May, 2009
- May 5, 2009 - Job applications, a résumé, and cover letter will be submitted to guidance office for each position of interest, deadline 12:00 noon
- May 7-8, 2009 - Coordinators will deliver résumés, and cover letters to employers
June, 2009
- June 5, 2009 - Interviewing expected to be completed and the employer will have notified the successful applicant
- June 11, 2009 - In the Belleisle & Sussex area, the selected student, employer/and or supervisor and parent(s) are required to attend a Youth Career Connections Orientation. This will be held at Sussex Regional High School, 7:00 - 8:30pm.

June 16, 2009 - In the Greater Saint John area, the selected student, employer/and or supervisor and parent(s) are required to attend an Orientation Presentation. This will be held at the District 8 Administrative Offices, Millidgeville North School, 490 Woodward Avenue, 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
June 22-25, 2009
- Successful NBYCC applicants will attend a 4-day Employability Skills Training Workshop, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. All workshops are mandatory. This 4-day workshop will be held at UNBSJ.
July/August, 2009
- Work Term completed end of August, 2009. Exceptions to this could be students working in retail and tourism positions, in which case, completion is required by December 31, 2009.
- A work term must be a minimum of 150 hours paid work experience (some exceptions may apply)
- Students will be monitored through series of phone calls to both employer and student by a representative of New Brunswick Youth Career Connections
September, 2009
- One evening Reflective Learning workshop; Date TBA
- Submit a written report reflecting the benefits of workshops and work experience
- Report will be forwarded to employers by NBYCC coordinator
November, 2009
- One full day workshop "Beyond NBYCC...What Next?"; Date TBA
December, 2009
- Final event - Dining Etiquette and Certificate Presentation Ceremony; Date TBA
Independent Learning Activities (to be completed by November 20, 2009)
- Passport to Safety - On-line Internet Certification
- Service Learning - 15-Hour Minimum Volunteer Service Activity & amp;Written Report
