Welcome

The New Brunswick Youth Career Connections Program provides youth with an opportunity to experience the "world of work" and expand their knowledge of essential employability skills as outlined by the Conference Board of Canada.

This web site contains general information about the program in New Brunswick, and provides position, application, and contact information to students in school districts 6 & 8.

News

The closing date for applications for the 2010 program was May 5th and is now closed. If you are a student in School District 6 or 8 who applied to any of the posted positions, résumés have now been delivered to the employers. Employers are in the process of reviewing the résumés and setting up interviews for candidates of interest. Students should be preparing to receive a call from the employers and presenting themselves in a positive, professional manner in an interview. Not sure how to prepare for or conduct yourself in an interview? Visit www.careersthatwork.ca, select Fast Track(Resource Finder), then select I need help finding a job, scroll down to the Interview information. Remember: "Success comes when preparation meets opportunity."
